Christmas in Januray

Well it's better than July isn't it? I've been so busy lately and I can't pull it together. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and after my little pity party I decided that it was ok because at least I knew what my problem was now. I just wanted to post the christmas card/ornament I made for the people at work this year. I made 60 of these and let me tell you. If I had anticipated how much work this card would have been... I might have picked another card. But they turned out nice! I bought pre cut rectangles and I don't know if you can pick up the shine on the cardstock but it was really pretty. I got these and the envelopes at archivers. I rounded the corners myself. The strip of patterned paper came from a christmas kit. The ribbon was from Michaels. The poinsettia is made from a fiskars punch and its two punches together. The Happy Holidays is a stampin up stamp. The star is an old star punch and I don't know who makes it anymore. The jewels came from Michaels and Archivers (I always under estimate how much I am going to need lol). I hope you enjoy!

Been Busy

I have always been interested in anything to do with art. Especially photography. I never really got into it until after I started scrapbooking. I recently took a class at my local adult education center and now I'm hooked. Here are some photo's that I have taken since the beginning of the summer. This is why I have been so busy and not blogging. Well some of it :o) Have a great evening!

Wedding Album

Although not in order due to my lack of knowledge about this site :o) This is an album I made for a friend of mine when she got married. There were more pages, but they were filler pages with no real design. The cuts were made with my pazzles cutter. I used bazzill and bazzill bling cardstock. Feel free to scraplift! Enjoy!

2nd Place

Last year I took my daughter and her friend to the Lake County Fair. Usually I don't go to fairs, because the only thing that interests me is the food and I don't need to sit and eat fair food all night (as much as I'd like too lol). As we were wandering around I found a Family Arts and Crafts building. I decided to check it out. As I entered I was like "OMG! They have scrapbook pages" So I decided that this year I would enter. I entered three categories. Sports, Family and Weddings. I only placed in Weddings. The page to the right is my Wedding entry. This is my grandmother and grandfather when they got married. I took 2nd Place. Enjoy!

My First Post

I started out blogging on myspace, but I found this site through a search that lead me to xhcreations (she makes beautiful stuff check her out) so here I am. My first blog. I am going to try to keep this mostly craft related. I say craft because I don't only scrapbook. I like making cards and papercrafting also. The page to the right is a page I did of my daughter for the Lake County Fair in Indiana. It didn't place. Maybe next year. I did place in the Wedding category. I came in 2nd. I will post that another time. In this page. I can't really tell you the companies I used, but the swirls are rub-ons as well as the words. Except for the beautiful, I found that at one of my local scrapbook stores and I just added the ribbon and buttons. I cut the circle with my pazzles cutter, trimmed off the far edge and flipped it over (Ya gotta love double sided paper) and used it for more dimension up front. I hope you enjoy this page. Scraplift if you feel the need :o) Have a great evening!
